EDUCATION MODULE

Located in Ogden, Utah, this secondary education project involved the development of a new module for a local high school that included  a space for collaboration, a focus area, and a social space. The primary design challenge for this space was considering the shift in secondary education following the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the primary concerns were selecting antimicrobial and easily cleanable materials, ensuring adequate ventilation, access to outdoor spaces, and space to allow for social distancing within classrooms. South Ogden High School’s slogan is “learn responsibly”, which is inspired by environmental and social sustainability and how it can be incorporated into a learning environment. Seen to the left is a material board with sustainably-sourced materials inspired by Utah’s natural beauty.
