INVISIBLE CITIES

This project was inspired by Italo Calvino’s novel “Invisible Cities”, where  the author brings to life a variety of unique and highly personified theoretical sites. After extensive reading and visual interpretation of select cities from Calvino’s novel, material studies and collages were created to help understand how characteristics of the Invisible Cities could be applied to a full-scale installation. The end result is  a theoretical exhibit that is intended to be explored and interacted with from multiple angles and to convey a sense of constant movement, as seen to the left.
